Google WebP has become one of the most common image formats on the web. Developed by Google, WebP delivers smaller storage than JPEG and PNG maintaining equal image fidelity. Despite this, WebP is still not fully accepted by all platforms.Several older software programs, mail applications and online platforms only accept the classic JPG file type.
